ABOUT THE CREATOR, AUTHOR AND PUBLISHER
Terry Ratzell is a wife, a mother of four, a grandmother of eight and an entrepreneur. She has always had an extraordinary love for children of all ages. Terry has dedicated her career to improving children’s lives. Several years ago she opened her own childcare center in southern New Jersey. She finds time to serve as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for children who have been neglected or abused. Naturally, Terry’s latest adventure RAK Rabbit falls right in line with this lifelong passion.
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND RAK RABBIT
Over the past few years, working with children and families daily, Terry began to realize a change. With both parents working and life being so busy, many families no longer had the time to “give back”. Our society was changing and kindness was lacking. In an effort to change that, Terry was determined to find a way to educate our youth about the importance of being kind to others and paying it forward. Her inspiration behind the RAK Rabbit project began with a general observation that children naturally possess the compassion to help others. Nurturing this natural instinct when children are young can establish a strong compassionate foundation through to adulthood.
SPRING FORWARD WITH A NEW EASTER TRADITION!
The Easter season has long celebrated the rebirth of nature, as Spring splashes her seeds and flower buds around the garden. Spring is a time for new beginnings, hope and promise. Terry thought that the Easter Season would be a perfect time to educate, inspire and empower our youth to create a kinder and more caring world, one Random Act of Kindness at a time. This determination led Terry to develop a new Easter product known as “RAK Rabbit, The Easter Hare Who Cares.” The stuffed plush bunny helper, beautifully illustrated storybook and twelve special eggs is a unique and fun way to teach your children that kindness matters, and that kind children are the best kind of children.
HOW RAK RABBIT WORKS
RAK Rabbit is a fun filled Easter tradition that will inspire and empower your children to create a kinder and more caring world, one Random Act of Kindness at a time. Once your family welcomes one of Grandfather RAK’s bunny helpers into your home the magic begins. Through this compelling story, children learn a variety of lessons, including sharing, compassion and selflessness. All are important messages during the Easter season and beyond. The RAK Rabbit book, plush bunny and a dozen eggs are all the tools needed to help parents encourage their children to share good deeds and begin a warm satisfying Easter tradition.
RAK RABBIT IN A GROUP SETTING
Teachers, Sunday school classes, day care centers and early childhood education agencies can all benefit from the lessons of RAK Rabbit. Children are inspired to help their peers and pitch in whenever needed. Read the story to your class or group of children and find a fun way to spread the message throughout the spring season. The lessons learned from RAK Rabbit extend far beyond the Easter holiday.
